This one day course at City of Portsmouth College is designed for you, if you want to install, commission and service domestic vented and unvented hot water systems in accordance with current legislation, including document G3 of the building regulations.
It is aimed at learners who have not held the qualification before or have a certificate that expired more than 12 months ago.
The training covers:
- design and self certifying requirements
- installation – three-tier level of protection, safe discharge pipework etc.
- safety controls
- commissioning and servicing.
This course is for you if you have not held the qualification or have a current certificate that expired more than 12 months ago.
You need to hold a relevant qualification in a related field such as plumbing, heating, gas, oil, solid fuel etc. or have evidence of at least two years' industry experience.
This is a one-day course which includes training and assessments. These are run at least three times a month at COPCs North Harbour Campus.
You will be assessed to the BPEC industry standard with practical and written assessments.
You will obtain a certificate of competence allowing you to install, commission and maintain vented and unvented domestic hot water systems.
