This course will help you improve your English skills to a competent level for you to be able to work in healthcare sector. It is suitable for anyone with Entry 3 level of English and working towards a Level 1 qualification.
You will study English reading, writing, listening & speaking skills, formal & informal correspondence, grammar & vocabulary, completing forms and learning useful language to help you in the work environment, as well as everyday life outside the College.
Units may include:
- formal and informal writing
- formal and informal speaking
- medical vocabulary
- exam preparation techniques
- polite language and dealing with patients
- improving listening and reading skills.
You will need to attend every class for you to make the best progress and learn faster.
You will be initially assessed on whether you have completed at an Entry 3 level or have the writing abilities at Level 1.
This is a continually assessed course, and you will be given assessments at the end of every unit.
