We are members of Vita Health which is your free and confidential Employee Assistance Programme, which provides information, advice and support, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Click on our vacancies page and see what we have! Once you’ve decided you want to go for a particular role, just click "quick apply" and begin the application process.
If you’re seeking an academic role and you don’t see a position that matches your skills, email us at recruitment@copc.ac.uk and let’s chat.

The recruitment process is varied, and this mainly depends on how many applicants we take forward to interview, and then afterwards, the amount of time to go through DBS checks, which are external to us and vary in duration. We always aim to conclude the process as quickly as is reasonably possible though.

Firstly, we’ll be in touch with an interview confirmation email containing the details you’ll need to attend. On the day, we’ll be asking you questions about your skills and experience, and we’d love it if you brought your own questions too.
Some job roles will require us to know a bit more about you and for those, you might be asked to complete a task, assessment, Microteach or presentation.

Importantly, if you require any adjustments in order to attend your interview, you can email us at recruitment@copc.ac.uk.

We’ll be in touch to offer you the role, and to let you know a conditional offer letter is on its way to you. Should you accept, we’ll work with you to complete an Enhanced DBS check (unless you are already on the update service). You might need to come into campus with copies of your right to work, qualifications, and personal details for payroll, etc. You will be assigned a co-ordinator to help you through the onboarding process, and when your checks are clear, they will then reach out with a start date.

Yes! We welcome colleagues from all walks of life and are proud to be both a Disability Confident employer and a Foster Friendly employer.

We aim to include Equality, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion within all our policies, procedures, plans and activities, and as we endorse this through our staffing, we also promote it through our curriculum. We are located in a diverse community and believe strongly in reflecting that.

Well, everyone’s experience is different owing to the types of roles they have but there is a common goal – to provide the students of Portsmouth with the best learning experience. In that regard, we all work hard at what we do, collaborate as much as possible to create solutions and improve our permission, get stuck in when the need arises and take the time to properly recognise each other’s achievements.

We have popular end of year staff awards, and fantastic learning and development days where we can network with others and share ideas. And there are opportunities to take part in extra-curricular activities too – like assisting the marketing team with their stand at Victorious Festival, or chaperoning on trips abroad.

Life at COPC is varied, exciting, sometimes challenging but never dull!
