- principles of building construction, information and communication.
You will complete a minimum of 30 hours of on-the-job experience within the industry and have the opportunity to work on many live projects in the community. In recent years, carpentry students helped to convert a double-decker bus into a much-needed shelter for local homeless people. You will also benefit from site visits, industry talks and demonstrations from experts.

Attendance is three days a week, typically 9am-5pm. This is a one-year qualification and a high level of attendance is necessary in order to successfully achieve the qualification.
